Biography

Born 11. 11. 1956 in Prague

Graduated at Vysoká škola ekonomická, PRAHA /University for Economy,Prague/ 1982

Professional activities:

March – December 1990  – Vice-Chairman of the National Committee for the District of Hradec Králové.

December 1990 to Sepember 1998 – Mayor of City of Hradec Králové

October 1999 – February 2001 – Administrator of the cities Istog/Istok and Gjakovë/Ðakovica  in the United Nations Administrative Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK)

July 2003 – December 2003, political advisor to Provisional Authority (CPA) in Basra and Deputy Director of the Donor Coordination Department the Council for International Coordination (CIC) in Baghdad

January 2005 – August 2009 – Business counselor at the Czech Embassy in Washington DC.

September 2009 – August 2012 – Director of the Department of Bilateral Economic Relations and Export Support at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

September 2012- July 2017 – Consul General to the United States of America in New York.

September 2017 – June 2021 – Czech Ambassador to Kuwait and Qatar.

Since December 2021 – Deputy Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
